Yes, it is true, after the big happines of receiving that beautiful degree it is time to come back to reality: searching for that perfect job. The job you had in mind when you started college or university and you knew it was just a matter of a letter, your resume, two interviews and the job is yours.
Unfortunately, reality is a bit different. Try 40 letters, 6 interviews and still no dream job. So, what happened to this extremely positive feeling of thinking you own the world after you have graduated?
The truth is, their are millions of people out their looking for jobs. Not only the graduates, but also people who are having years and years of experience, who are also applying for the jobs which might suit you better as a starter. Oh well, they'll find out after two months, if the job turns out to be kinda boring for those experienced people.
And another very important part of that big search: finding out exactly what you want to do. In what kind of company do you want to work? Which field and industry? What should your job look like, with what kind of tasks and goals? These are very important questions you need to answer for yourself before you can get a clear vision of that dream job.
I just hope all those employers out there will keep us, ambitious young people, in mind. The ones who can't wait to start their career, the ones that are willing to do a lot for that dream job and the ones that just want to leave their mark on this world. So dear employers, think of them when you turn off the light at your desk at night.
